The Prevention of Electronic Crimes (PECA) Amendment Bill 2025 shall be cited as the Social Media Protection and Regulatory Authority and shall have its headquarters in Islamabad and offices in the provincial capitals.

The Social Media Protection and Regulatory Authority will consist of nine members. The Secretary of the Interior, the Chairman of the PTA, and the Chairman of the PEMRA will be members of the Social Media Regulatory Authority.
The chairman with 5 members will be appointed for 5 years and also represents journalists in the Social Media Protection and Regulatory Authority.
