According to sources, a meeting of PSL franchise owners and management took place on Thursday, revealing some internal details to bring star players into the PSL 10 draft under consideration.
Sources stated that the franchises emphasized finalizing the PSL schedule and drafting dates as soon as possible. PSL management and franchises collectively agreed to bring in prominent international players.
The PSL 2025 franchises also requested financial support from the PCB to acquire major foreign players. The emphasis was on players who did not get contracts from the IPL.
PSL 10 franchises are already in touch with non-local cricketers including Steve Smith, David Warner, Kane Williamson, & Jonny Bairstow. They are also reaching out to players such as Finn Allen, Keshav Maharaj, Shakib Al Hasan, Jimmy Neesham, Tim Southee & Kusal Mendis.
The Pakistan Super League franchises have asked management to bring in English players as well; they say that those not contributing to the Indian Premier League should be included in the PSL 10.

Sources revealed that over 150 major foreign players remained unsold in the IPL, and franchises are actively reaching out to iconic players. The next meeting between franchises and PSL management will depend on the availability of Salman Naseer, who is currently working on preparations for the Champions Trophy.
