Rohini Vijay’s Life Story
Everything in life starts as a dream. Rohini Vijay’s dream was to become an IPS (Indian Police Service) officer, but like most middle-class parents, Rohini’s parents also wanted to marry off their beloved daughter before embarking on the sacred journey.
When her father talked to her about getting married, she nodded her head like an obedient daughter and submitted to his wish. But he was her father, “Appa Rao Naidu,” and he knew what was going on in her mind. He said to Rohini, “I know about your passion for higher studies; trust me, I will protect your dream. You’ll find your father standing with you whenever you need my support.”
And he kept his word. With his continuous support, encouragement, and motivation, she stayed steady in life’s storms and conquered fears that held her back. And then there were the Rohini brothers and her beloved husband, who stood by her like a rock. With the support and motivation of these men in her life, she was able to pursue her passion.
The interesting part is that Rohini Vijay never aspired to be a career woman. Yes, she wanted to pursue higher education, but she never considered working full-time as a calling. But life had its plans for her: to fall, to break, to be confused, to lose people, to question herself and her beliefs, to take a job she wasn’t experienced in, to start over completely.
Rohini Vijay thought her world was completely crumbling several times. My life took a profound turn when she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy only to lose him a few hours later. She was destroyed; the tentacles of grief extended far and wide into places she never anticipated.
But instead of surrendering to distress, she channeled her suffering into productivity. From a woman with no career dreams, Rohini embarked on a journey of strength and meaning, shaped by the pain that redefined her path.
That is how Rohini Vijay stepped into the corporate world. As they say, success is never a solo act—it’s the people that cheer you on, lift you up and have your back that make all the difference. Life has always been a constant carousel of challenges, keeping her toes with countless commitments.

Rohini Vijay’s story on Women’s Day would be incomplete if she didn’t mention her mother, Radha. She has survived many life challenges that most would cower from because she knew her mother was praying for them. She was a constant support system; whenever Rohini was down, she reminded her.
