With every new day, Elon Musk thinks something new, with many new ideas in the world of social media. Musk is in the headlines every day. Once again, two new premium X (previously Twitter) subscription levels have been approved by Elon Musk; one of them will be less costly than the current $8/pm X Premium subscription, whereas the other will cost extra and allow users to opt out of seeing ads on the social media network.
SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk have stated that they haven’t yet revealed the fees for these two new subscription plans. In a post shared on X indorsing the new X subscription plans, Musk wrote, “Two new tiers of X Premium subscriptions are launching soon. One is lower cost with all features but no decrease in ads, and the other is more expensive but without any ads.”
In an effort to “combat bots and spammers on X while maintaining platform accessibility with the small fee amount,” X has started charging new users in New Zealand and the Philippines a $1 annual subscription to stop bot users and fake accounts who are misleading on social media.
For uploading content, leaving comments, liking or reposting other accounts’ posts, citing other accounts’ posts, or bookmarking posts, the “NOT A BOT” program charges a monthly subscription fee.
An X support page about the new program read, “This new test was developed to boost our already important efforts to decrease spam, manipulation of our platform, and bot activity.”
For iOS and Android devices, a Twitter Blue Tick subscription costs INR 900 per month in India. The cost for Web is $650 monthly. Moreover, consumers can choose an annual subscription on the internet for $6,800. X on iOS and Android has an annual subscription price of 9,400 yen.
