Because of the serious tense Indo-Pak war situation, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has blocked 16 Indian news channels and 31 YouTube links, along with 20 websites spreading fake news and negative propaganda against Pakistan, and more are being blocked. Since yesterday night, the situation has been critical between India and Pakistan.
According to the sources of PTA, Pakistan has blocked several Indian news and YouTube channels spreading false information about the Pakistan Army and anti-Pakistan propaganda. The spokesperson also said that these steps are being taken to protect national security and the responsible use of social media and digital platforms.
Further, PTA is being monitored online to protect Pakistan’s digitalm, which is a top priority during such a kind of Indo-Pak war situation.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has further stated it is our prime responsibility to provide a better, safer, more reliable, and more secure internet environment. We will take strict action against spreading any online misinformation that endangers the country’s interests.
