The team from Google for Education, in collaboration with its local partner Tech Valley, recently met with the Secretary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training to present upcoming plans for enhancing Pakistan’s education sector, especially about smart schools, in Pakistan.
As per the discussions, 50 smart schools in Islamabad are set to receive a boost with the provision of 30,000 Google for Education IDs. These IDs will come packed with AI-powered features such as practice sets and a range of digital tools aimed at fostering better collaboration and productivity.
The meeting also delved into various forthcoming initiatives. These include workshops for teachers on utilizing Google for Education tools, the establishment of a public Google Reference School, training programs for 2000 young individuals in job-ready skills through Google Career Certificates, and exploring the possibility of co-hosting an Edutech event with the Ministry of Federal Education in Pakistan.
Exciting developments are in progress to solidify these collaborations. Stay tuned for further updates.
