As per Rajeev Chandrasekhar, India’s Deputy Minister for Information Technology India, the partnership between Apple and India has tremendous potential for investment, growth, exports, and job creation. He believes that as Apple expands its manufacturing of iPad and AirPod and other operations and opens new stores in major Indian cities, the tech giant will increase its investments and exports by more than three times in the next few years.

Chandrasekhar expressed his confidence in the Apple-India partnership after attending a meeting between Indian leaders and Apple CEO Tim Cook, who oversees the company’s expansion in India. Cook recently inaugurated the flagship Apple Store in Mumbai on April 18.
During the meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Cook reiterated Apple’s commitment to growing and investing across the country, further highlighting the company’s plans for expansion and growth in India.
While Apple has been carrying out assembly operations in India for some time, Reliance’s acquisition of the Wipro iPhone factory may soon result in Indian companies handling iPhone production. Additionally, Apple plans to shift its iPad and AirPod manufacturing to India, particularly as strains between the U.S. and China continue to escalate.
