The British universities themselves have approached Pakistan to educate the Pakistani students with good values as per reports that surfaced on Tuesday. The prestigious university’s launch ceremony of a degree programme at one of the Top Fifty Gold Status Universities was held in Islamabad.
British High Commissioner Jane Marriott said Pakistani students will have the option to earn British degrees without leaving Pakistan. Minister for Law Barrister Aqeel added that the British education standard is established in Pakistan. Unity with British schools would further improve it, he remarked.
Now you have the world’s most recognised education standards and degrees right here in Pakistan. The Top 50 Gold Status universities (among the 50 largest HEIs) have introduced their programmes in Pakistan, offering significant prospects for students.
The degree courses of the British universities would be taught in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore, Faisalabad and Bahawalpur, sources said.
Jane Marriott added that this will allow Pakistani students to enjoy a British education without going abroad. Students in Pakistan will have access to the UK curriculum at a fraction of the cost, said an organiser, Neha Mudassir.
Barrister Aqeel described the British degree programme offered in Pakistan as an excellent opportunity for students, adding that it is on par with British universities in terms of standards.
According to the BOL News Pakistan, some parents who attended the grand launch said they were happy because internationally recognised, high-quality education is at last being brought to their country, and it is a less expensive programme.
