According to the reuters, Misbahudin describes that Pakistan would hold peace talks with Afghan Taliban after Turkiye arranged for both parties to form a durable peace deal. As soon as the Pakistani officials returned to their home country after unproductive talks, according to the references, they were encouraged to stay for additional consultations with the Taliban.

One of the sources confirmed: “Another chance is offered to peace with the rebooting of talks”. They stated that Pakistan’s leading requirement remained that “Afghanistan force to take punitive clear actions against terror that are also sound and effective”. The sources also stated Pakistan has repeated one of its fundamental principles that it does not endorse Afghan Taliban terrorism against Pakistan.

According to National Diplomat, Afghan Taliban officials have already made diplomatic contact on the talks and negotiations between the two countries will resume after them, as” Turkey is eager to have the talks hosted in its territory bear fruit”. Only three rounds of discussions were held in Istanbul, Pakistan, and the Afghan Taliban had four rounds of lengthy talks earlier this month without any positive results.

Taliban came up with a new excuse for switching its position on the table during the process. Observers suggest that the Taliban changed its original views after contacting the Kabul administration and believed that the administration could be manipulated by an outside force.

The Taliban delegation admits Pakistan’s legitimate concerns multiple times during discussions before mediators, but changes its position after consulting Kabul. Mediators have agreed that Pakistan’s concerns are legitimate. The first round took place in the capital of Qatar, Doha. Both countries agreed to declare a ceasefire and establish a counterterrorism mechanism to monitor and stop terrorism.
